 "Sunny San Juans" is how many people refer to our area, and with good reason. Although we are located near Puget Sound in Western Washington, which receives anywhere from 20 to 50 inches of rain per year, the San Juan Islands are unique in that, they occupy an area known as the "banana belt" or the "rain shadow of the Olympics".

Through a combination of meterological phenomena, air blowing inland from the Pacific Ocean from the southwest loses most of its moisture on the western slopes of the Olympic Mountains, where the annual rainfall can be as high as 200 inches per year. By the time the air reaches us, most of the moisture is gone and we end up receiving about 20 to 25 inches per year. San Juan Island enjoys an average of 247 days of sunshine per year. 

In addition to the island's weather and natural beauty, there are plenty of activities including a 9-hole golf course, acres of parks and miles of walking trails, marinas, restaurants, and shopping. Not without mention, the waters of the Puget Sound offer extraordinary scenery for kayaking, whale watching,diving and boating. 
     
Chip Shot to the Green is a Vacation Rental located 2 miles from Friday Harbor on San Juan Island, WA.  3 Bedrooms, 3 Baths home on the 1st fairway of San Juan Island Golf Course.  Whether you are a golfer or coming to the San Juan Islands to relax, this home offers all the amenities you would want. 

The main floor consists of an elegrant entryway with curved stairway up to a curved balcony in which you'll find a  cozy TV Room with a comfortable queen sleeper sofa  (no railroad tracks to sleep on). To the right of the entry is the morning breakfast room where the sun will great you with your morning cup of coffee.  The full gourmet kitchen has all the amenities you need to use your culinary expertise.  The dining area  comfortably seats 8 and to the left is the very comfortable living area with leather sofa and chair to sink into while you watch the golfers.  Also on the main floor is a full bath with shower and  complete laundry facilities. The Master Bedroom, also located on the first floor, has a King Size Bed and separate bath with jacuzzi tub and stall shower.  Up the curved stairway is the 2nd Guest Bedroom also with a Queen Size Bed.  The 3rd Bedroom includes 2 Twin Beds.  Full bath is also located upstairs with tub/shower.
